Public Trip 2016
Join us July 22-31, 2016, for an experience of a lifetime. During your sojourn in this magical country, you will begin with a morning at InBio Parque, where you have the opportunity to photograph much of the iconic wildlife and gorgeous flowering plants of Costa Rica.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit Tirimbina for a chocolate tour and island night hike. The following morning you take a float down the Sarapiqui River for terrific wildlife spotting, from otters to several species of monkeys, sloths, and water birds like roseate spoonbills and many species of herons.
Three days and nights in the Children’s Eternal Rainforest are the highlight of your itinerary, with spectacular birding, hikes to a waterfall or bubbling mud pots, and a serene lake for taking a dip. Your tour continues with a bit of shopping time in Fortuna, a hike up Arenal Volcano, a chance to zipline in the canopy, and a pleasurable soak in hot springs.
Next up is a ferry ride across Lake Arenal to the Monteverde area, the heart of rainforest conservation in this region. There is much to sample in Monteverde, from the Bat Jungle to the Ranario, Butterfly House to Serpentarium, and the unique habitat at Bajo del Tigre. Monteverde is also home to the Cheese Factory, with the best ice cream in the world! Our final adventure finds us at a Pacific coast beach resort, before heading back to the airport in the morning.
