Rainforest Publications identification guide to Costa Rica Mammals and Tracks shows 90 of the 216 mammal species recorded for Costa Rica. Almost all the species not included here are bats and small rodents, which generally can not be identified unless they are trapped. The illustrator, British naturalist Mark Wainwright, has lived and worked in Monteverde, Costa Rica, since 1991. Each illustration of a mammal and its track is accompanied by the name in English, Spanish, and Latin, size, and a symbol indicating geographic distribution. This is a highly portable waterproof full color scientifically reviewed wildlife field guide.  When folded, the guide is only 3.5" (9cm) by 8.75" (22 cm). It contains twelve 9cm by 22cm "pages" plus front and back cover pages, and when spread is approx. 24" (61cm) by 8.75" (22 cm)
